Sven Bakkes

Sven Bakkes started his career working as a consultant in Silicon Valley (US). After his return to the Netherlands he worked at the Eindhoven University of Technology as a researcher in the field of strategic alliances and innovation management.

Sven subsequently joined ENECO Energy, a large Dutch utility company, as technology consultant and project manager. In 2004, he was appointed to lead a mid-sized subsidiary of ENECO Energy as its Chief Commercial Officer. In January 2007, he successfully sold this company and founded his own company active in the motorsports and entertainment industry.

After securing multiple venture capital funding rounds, Sven mid 2011 sold his shares and in September 2012 he joined Prins Alternative Fuel Systems in Eindhoven, The Netherlands. As Prins’ Sales Manager he manages the business development- and sales team and is overseeing distributor and channel activities in more than 50 countries worldwide.

Sven holds a master degree in International Business Studies from the University of Maastricht and a MBA from the Rotterdam School of Management - Erasmus Graduate School of Business.

Nick Black

Nick Black is vice-president LPG, at Argus Media.

Nick has around 30 years experience in the oil and energy industry, over 20 of which have been spent in the LPG industry. He holds an MA from Oxford University.

Pietro Boggia

Principal Consultant Automotive & Transportation, EIA at Frost & Sullivan, London.

Broad automotive experience (12 years) in product development and strategic planning, in companies like Fiat SpA, Chrysler, Fiat Professional, Tofas (Fiat Turkey) Alfa Romeo, Iveco, CNH.

Industry Expertise: forged and strengthened corporate relations with vital client partners, OEMs and Tier1 suppliers;

Product development management – strategic planning and financial modelling;

Passenger and Vehicle Fleet  Telematics - Several projects successfully delivered to top OEMs and Suppliers on Vehicle Telematics and Connectivity during 2012 and 2013;

Powertrain portfolio management: led a rationalization initiative to decrease CO2 emissions and fuel consumption as well to roll out fuel substitutes delivering higher performance.

Nominated Account Manager in Fiat and Chrysler joint development programs, he holds an executive MBA with Concentration in Marketing Management and International Strategy - SDA Bocconi, Milan and an Engineering Degree, Polytechnic of Milan, Milan, Italy.

Stefano Casandrini

Employed in Technical consultancy role in the White Goods sector (1996 – 1999): management of safety standards: influence, development, revision, dissemination, consultancy, leverage.

Two years spent in Bruxelles at the European Association of White Goods Manufacturers (CECED) in close contact with all EU Institutions & Counterparts.

Employed in the Heating Sector at the Italian subsidiary of Vaillant Group (2000 - 2007): in charge of Institutional & Regulatory Affairs, Standardisation developments, Pre-sales consultancy. Then also Responsible of new product developments in the Renewable Energy domain (Solar Thermal, Photovoltaic, Heat Pumps) for the Italian market.

Now employed at Ferroli Group (since 2007), in charge of Regulatory & Institutional affairs, Market strategy, Pre-sales consultancy & support Team, Renewable & Hybrid product developments.

David Fernandez de Heredia Anaya

AutoGas Project Manager, Commercial Division LPG Spain, REPSOL.

David Fernández de Heredia Anaya is an Agricultural Engineer from the University of Madrid (UPM, Spain) and he has a master´s degree from the IESE (University of Navarra, Spain).

He has been working in Repsol from 1996. He has been in different positions into Repsol, always in commercial activities of LPG and in different places in Spain.

From December 2010, he is the AutoGas Project Manager in Spain under commercial division at LPG Spain.

He is married and has two children. 

Eric Johnson

Eric Johnson is a chemist, who began his career as an editor of Chemical Engineering and Chemical Week magazines.

Currently he is Managing Director of Atlantic Consulting, Editor-in-Chief of Environmental Impact Assessment Review, an editor of the Journal of Health and Pollution, and a Technical Advisor to two NGOs, Green Cross and the Blacksmith Institute.

He serves on the CEN/ISO Committees that are developing ‘sustainability’ criteria for biofuels. He has been nominated by Switzerland’s federal government as an IPCC inventory assessor.

Paul Ladner

Paul Ladner is the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for the Flaga Group, a leading LPG marketer in Central and Eastern Europe based in Vienna, Austria, and wholly owned by UGI Corporation. Prior to his current position Paul was the Director of International Propane for UGI, working closely with the Flaga Group and Antargaz, UGI’s French and Benelux LPG company. Paul’s LPG experience also extends to UGI’s US based LPG company, AmeriGas Propane, where he worked in several positions throughout the US, including Market Manager, Director of Regional Sales and Director of Strategic Accounts. Paul currently serves as Vice President of the AEGPL, and Chairman of the Climate Change Working Group of the WLPGA.  Paul holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Richmond, and a Masters of Business Administration degree from Penn State University. 

Gerhard Oelsinger

Gerhard Oelsinger is Managing Director of the Region Alps for the FLAGA Group, a leading LPG Distribution Company in central, eastern and northern Europe, and wholly owned by UGI Corporation.

Gerhard started his career in the LPG industry in 1998 and has gathered experiences in different managing positions in CEE countries. He holds a degree in “Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Management” from the Technical University of Vienna and an Executive Master of Business Administration from the Imadec University Vienna.

Ramón de Luis Serrano

Ramón de Luis Serrano is the President of AEGPL and chairman of the company Trimex Consulting. He was previously CEO of Repsol Butano and Executive Director of LPG worldwide for Repsol.

Prior to that he held several executive positions within the Repsol Group including Director General of Natural Gas Distribution, International Director General and Commercial Director General, and also worked as Technical Director for Heredia y Moreno.

He is an industrial engineer by profession and also holds an MBA from IESE and University of Michigan.

Antonio Barani

Antonio Barani was born in Codogno - Italy, December 12th, 1984. He is an Italian entrepreneur who currently resides in Monaco. After moving to the Principality at the young age of 27, in 2011 he founded Ankor Energy Group, a merchant house which specializes in electronic and physical trading of energy products. Currently, Ankor has offices in Cyprus, Italy, Belgium and Monaco, and  plays a key role in the European trading and downstream markets. 

Carlo Fidanza MEP

Carlo Fidanza is member of the European Parliament since 2009, elected with the People of Liberties (PdL) for the constituency of North-West Italy (Lombardy, Piedmont, Liguria and Valle d'Aosta).

In December 2012, he was one of the founders of "Fratelli d'Italia - centrodrestra nazionale" (Brothers of Italy - National centre-right).

He is full member of the Parliamentary Committee on Transport and Tourism and substitute member of the Parliamentary Committee for Agriculture and Rural Development.  He is promoter of the Comité "EuroExpo 2015" at the European Parliament, which aims at promoting the Milan Universal Exhibition of 2015, and vice-Chairman of the European Parliament Tourism Task Force.

Among the various files he is in charge of, he is Rapporteur on the proposal for a Directive on the deployment of alternative fuels infrastructure (Clean power for transport).

Tamas Morvai

Head of Strategic Business Support – SHV Energy

Tamas started to work in the LPG business for SHV in 1994 ,with Several finance functions between 1994 and 2003 including CFO Butanplin Slovenia and CFO Primagaz Hungary. He worked in the airline and telecommunication industries between 2003 and 2006 before rejoining SHV Energy and the LPG business in 2006 as CFO Primagaz France. He was Managing Director Primagaz Benelux from 2009 and is now Head of Strategic Business Support in the Head Office of SHV Energy from 2012 as well as Chairman of the Safety Committee of SHV Energy.

 

 

Pulat Oktay

Pulat Oktay started his professional life in Koç Group in 1991. He held various positions in Gazal Co. Inc. such as Project Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Process Engineer, LPG Cylinders Production Manager between 1991 and 2001. After Gazal merged with Aygaz, Oktay continued at the same position. From 2003 to 2008 he worked as Purchasing Manager in the same company.

Oktay was appointed to his current position in 2008 and he has been working as Production Director in Aygaz since then. As well as the production, he is in charge of the sales of LPG cylinders, bulk tanks and the accessories like valves and regulators in foreign markets.

Oktay graduated from İstanbul Technical University, Ship Building Engineering Department in 1987. He completed his Master of Science in Bosphorus University, Mechanical Engineering Department in 1990 and his Master of Business Administration in Koç University in 2004.

Joel Pedessac

Joel Pedessac is a graduate from university (energy & technology) and he holds an Executive MBA (HEC Paris). His entire career has been done in the energy industry (coal, oil and LPG) mainly within SHELL and BUTAGAZ in Paris.

His actual position is general manager of the French LPG association (CFBP). He chairs the Global Autogas Industry Network since 2010. Previous President of the AEGPL, he is member of the Management Team of AEGPL.

Mark Plyte

Mark Plyte worked in the LPG industry for the last 7 years and was appointed Finance Director of the newly formed Flogas Group of Companies in 2012.  Prior to that, he worked as Finance Director for Flogas UK Limited, the second largest LPG distributor in Britain, for 5 years. He had responsibility for implementing the Hedging strategies for all of DCC’s LPG businesses.

Prior to that Mark had over 20 years experience working in the Food Manufacturing and distribution businesses. He spent the last 10 years as Finance Director in three of the UK’s largest pork processing companies. He is a CIMA qualified accountant with an MBA from Bath University.

Maurizio Rota

Maurizio Rota, Master Degree in Business Administration (Economia e Commercio) from Bergamo University, after 7 years as a fiscal and financial consultant at Zurich Investments and Fineco Bank, had developed a major retail channel in Canada.

After this 4 year professional experience in Montreal, he has become International Business Development Manager at ROBUR SpA (Italy), in charge of developing the North American market as well as part of Europe and Africa.

Rainer Scharr

Rainer Scharr has been managing partner of Friedrich Scharr KG since 1996 and in addition he is managing director of the Scharr Group including Scharr CPC, Scharr Waerme, Scharr TEC, Sailer Mineraloelhandel Gmbhand GKG Mineraloel Handel Gmbh & Co KG.

He is alos member of the supervisory board of natGAS AG, Potsdam, Chairman of the Board of DVFG Berlin, Board Member of IWO, Hamburg, and former President of AEGPL (2006-2009)

Rainer holds a Dipl. Kfm (MBA) from the University of Stuttgart

Andreas Stücke

 

Andreas Stücke, born in 1959 in Warstein, Germany, Dr. jur. , lawyer .

Dmitrii Styrkas

Dmitrii Styrkas is a consultant at IHS Energy Insight Downstream Consulting, an internationally recognised consultancy to the Energy and Petroleum Industries.

Dmitrii has worked on a number of projects, focussing on refined products and petrochemical feedstocks market dynamics, investment and strategy studies for project sponsors and financial institutions.  During this time, he has worked on a variety of confidential assignments for major Russian oil companies as well as assisting financial institutions in the evaluation of potential projects in Russia.

Prior to IHS Dmitrii worked in Purvin & Gertz for 2 years and before that at international consultancy Nexant for almost 11 years. Graduated from Moscow Physical and Technical Institute in Moscow, he did his PhD at Oxford University in physical chemistry.  He also has an MBA in international business from University of Bristol.

David Tyler

David worked for Shell International for 25 years, living in Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Australia. During his career in Shell he was responsible for running Shell’s LP Gas businesses in Hong Kong, Indonesia and China.

He left Shell in 1996 to establish his own LP Gas consultancy business, which is based in Western Australia. He has undertaken projects all over the world, focusing on the downstream LP Gas sector — from primary storage through the entire supply and distribution channel to the consumer.

Since 2009 David has been a Director of the World LP Gas Association (WLPGA).

David manages several of the WLPGA’s major programmes and is the delegation head at the International Oil Pollution Compensation Funds meetings where the WLPGA holds the status as an observer organization. He is the contact point for WLPGA members in the Asia-Pacific region.

David is a Chartered Engineer and has a post graduate diploma in management.
